Phyllis Hyman was one of my all time favorite singers. I grew up listening to her sultry, robust
voice, and often said if I could have anyone's voice it would be Phyllis'.
I'm taking this time to remember her, for no particular reason. Just because.
Just because I pulled a few old cuts from my playlist and began to listen to her. Just because I appreciated listening
to her in my quiet moments. I loved her voice.
How sad many of her fans were when they learned of her untimely passing. Such a talent, never to be seen again,
but thanks to the internet, we can visit her again, and remember the woman who sang so fully, so soulfully from the heart.
We miss you Phyllis. I miss you.
