effort although rumored to play against the Sacramento Monarchs on Tuesday, May 22nd.
Prior to
the home opener, the Washington Mystics hosted a full day of fun and games for Mystics fans to help celebrate their 10-year
WNBA anniversary with a street festival along the Verizon Center’s F street corridor.
The event featured
former Mystics, Nikki McCray; Washington D.C.’s Showstopper Community Band, performances by the Mystic Mayhem dance
team, plenty of games and face painting activities for kids, along with an appearance by the 2007 Washington Mystics.
