In what would be a surprise to some, but a perfect fit for many, the
Washington Mystics selected 6-2
Crystal Langhorne in the first round of the WNBA Draft today at the
Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, FL, which is owned by Mystics,
Sheila Johnson.
Langhorne, whose
résumé shouts 'top knotch' student/athlete, was instrumental in helping the Lady Maryland Terps secure a win over Coppin State
in the NCAA Tournament opener.
Scoring 25 points and pulling down 12 rebounds Langhorne, and team mates, defeated
State, 80-66.
The Mystics, hosts of the WNBA draft party at the
Green Turtle Sports Bar just outside the Verizon Center earlier today, picked sixth in the first round.
