April 4, 2007 - The Washington Mystics held a WNBA Draft Party at the ESPN Zone to unveil their
latest draft picks.
Veteran Guard Alana Beard and returning Guard Tamara James were on hand to meet and greet the
guests, as well as to introduce the Mystics' new fashion item, the 2007 team uniforms.
Also on hand were Mystics' president Sheila Johnson, and Chief Operating Officer, Curtis Symonds.

The Mystics had the sixth overall pick in the draft which includes 6-1 Forward and All-American Honorable Mention, Bernice
Mosby; along with 5-11 Forward, Megan Vogel (second round, overall pick) out of South Dakota State University.
Of Bernice Mosby, Mystics General Manager, Linda Hargrove says "She's just what we needed."
"She was what we were looking for in the draft.”
The Mystics will play three games prior to the start of the regular season with two of the games
in non-WNBA cities.
The Mystics will travel May 4th to play Wisconsin's Chicago Sky, and then on to Ohio on May 6th to
play WNBA 2006 Champions, the Detroit Shock.
The Mystics will host the Israeli National Team, Anda Ramat Hasharon, at the Verizon Center on May 13th at 6:00 p.m.
Regular season games begin May 19th at 6 p.m. when the Mystics will host the Connecticut Sun.
The WNBA All-Star game will be held in the Nation's Capital at the Verizon Center July 15th weekend and will
feature family activities, community projects, professional athletes, and entertainment.
Coverage of the game, beginning at 3:30 p.m., will be televised on channel 7.
