Men's, Women's Teams Defeated

January 26, 2008 - Howard University men's basketball is in desperate need of a few wins. This past Saturday's game against the Morgan State Bears marks the third loss in a row for the young Bison team.

Down by twenty points at the half, the Bison found themselves in an offensive quagmire, shooting only 31% percent from the field.

While seeming to rally in the second half off consistent scoring from junior guard, Eugene Myatt (eleven points), and junior forward Randy Hampton (sixteen points) the Bison would come within ten but the Bears answered back on each Bison scoring attempt, pulling away and eventually winning the competition 69-51.

The Howard men's basketball team is 4-15 on the season, 1-4 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

Morgan State's Jamar Smith led his team in scoring with 26 points, while Marquise Kately effectively contributed 14 points.
