Kennedy Center honorees: Mel Brooks, Dave Brubeck, Grace Mumbry, Robert De Niro, and
Bruce Springsteen

The Kennedy Center Honors took place last evening honoring those considered the best in their craft.
This year's honorees included actor
Robert De Niro, mezzo-soprano singer
Grace Mumbry,
Mel Brooks, jazz musician
Dave Brubeck, and
Bruce Springsteen.
"On a day like this I remember I'm the President, but he's the boss", said President Obama as he introduced Bruce Springsteen.
The honorees were treated to a reception in the East Room of the White House on Sunday afternoon.
Sunday's event will be televised on December 29th and will include performances by Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, Meryl
Streep, and Sting. Check local listings.
