An Update on Haiti Relief

January 17, 2010 - Ricardo Noel, spokesperson for Howard University's Haitian Student Alliance spoke with us Sunday after service with pastor Jeremiah Wright.
 
Noel tells us what the Howard University student alliance is also doing to support the Haiti relief efforts, how you can help, and gives us info on upcoming events in our area.

  • Government Response To Haiti Relief Efforts 

Rear Admiral Mike Rogers, Dir of Intelligence for Joint Staff, Tim Callaghan, USAID Sr. Regional Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean, and Captain Andrew Stevermer, Commander of Incident Response Coordination team for Health and Human Services give status of relief efforts, respond to reports of attacks.  Says "there are isolated events, not widespread panic". 

"More doctors, nursers, paramedics expected to arrive. s., nurses, paramedics,  over 300 patients received treatment.  Two additional plane loads of supplies expected.More teams poised to help."

"We will do whatever we can do to help the people of Haiti."
