October 6, 2006 - When you think of Washington Redskins' football legends, you can't leave out cornerback,
Darrell Green.
Green, having played only with the Washington Redskins
since being drafted #1 in 1983, was selected to seven NFL Pro Bowls, and was given the title "fastest
man in the NFL" during his football career that spanned twenty years.
Outside of the NFL, Darrell Green is known for his charitable work with his Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation
(DGYLF) , founded in 1988.
Along with his mortgage services company, Darrell

this accomplished businessman, husband, and father of three can add one more title to his growing list of accolades: radio
show host.
The show will discuss everything from football and family matters to moral issues and motivating personal stories.
Opening his show by first acknowledging his three children and his wife, Jewel, Darrell spoke candidly about his
growing up with seven siblings, his humble beginnings, and the recent passing of both his mother, and father-in-law.
The show's next segment featured conversations with former NFL team mates and players Barry Wilburn, Darryl Grant, Ray Brown and Darryl Pounds, all of whom stopped by the studio to chat with Darrell on a number of topics ranging from the
2006 Redskins season to the infamous, Terrell Owens.
Redskins' 1988 quarterback, Doug Williams
and former Redskins' defensive back,Vernon Dean telephoned in to lend their support and talked about the projects they are
currently involved in.
Two lucky fans were invited as in-studio guests and had a few 'pressing' questions for the radio host.
Aside from a few technical glitches, the show was a success - proving once again that everything Darrell
Green touches, turns to gold.
