Welcome to the blog of a would-be Washington Mystics player as she prepares for upcoming tryouts.  Read blog as she chronicles her attempts at getting back into 'athlete' shape and prepares for the goal of a life-time.

Intro:

I'll admit.   My reasoning behind wanting to tryout for the Washington Mystics may be a bit unsettling, but in reality the confinement of a boring 9-5 desk job just isn't appealing to me any longer (not that it ever did); and with the onset of spring and summer, being out of shape is even more unsettling.

So, being a basketball fan and admirer of the players, owners, and organization as a whole, I decide I want to become a part of the team.

Having played ball in high school, and a bit in college (indirectly), I'm dusting off my 'ol school basketball skills and putting them to the test.

I'm in training for:  goal #1 (the tryouts), and goal #2 (making the team).

Read here about my own 'training day' as it leads up to the Mystics try outs in April.

God, and Magic Johnson, please help!

Day 1

Read all about it in Chronicles Of A Would-Be Mystic.
