Says Party Crashers Tareq and Michaela Salahi Were Never InvitedTo Phoenix Awards Dinner

December 1, 2009 - The couple known for crashing the White House State Dinner last week appeared to have made rounds to other high profile functions in the city.

This time, the Salehi couple attended the Congressional Black Caucus annual awards dinner held in September of this year - without invite.

News reports state that the Salehis entered the event via a bus boy and cook entrance, sat a table (without tickets) before they were asked to leave.

The Congressional Black Caucus' Public Relations department has issued the following statement:
"On September 28, 2009 The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation hosted its  Annual Phoenix Awards Dinner as part of its 39th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, DC.

More than 4,000 guests attended the event which is the major fundraiser for the Foundation's scholarship, internship and fellowship programs. Michaela and Tareq Salahi were in attendance.

The couple was approached by CBCF staff when they were alerted about a ticket dispute at the table. Upon asking for tickets for the table, which the Salahi's could not produce, the couple was asked to leave and they complied."
